Onsite Consulting

TCI Academy Onsite Consulting is designed to enhance social studies teachers’ implementation of the TCI Approach and other best practices in literacy and social studies education while building on the strategies, practices, and lessons that teachers are already using successfully. Over the span of one to three years, a TCI Academy Trainer will work with teachers to provide the tools, infrastructure, and implementation methods to build a rich professional learning community.

TCI Academy Onsite Consulting is highly customized to meet the instructional goals and challenges of each site. Generally, the TCI Academy Trainer meets with teachers seven times a year and provides a combination of direct instruction, classroom observation, and demonstration lesson modeling. Over the course of the consulting relationship, sites develop a sustainable and highly functioning professional learning community that continues to thrive long after the three-year consulting period is complete.
