the training content geared
exclusively for social studies?
Or does it include other disciplines?
Although most of our content
and examples are drawn from
the social studies, the strategies,
theory and approach can be
translated into language
arts and science as well.

- Is
the training at my school site
or at a TCI Academy site?
We understand teachers are
busy. That is why TCI Academy
trainings come to you. No
need to find a TCI Academy
site. It’s one less thing
you need to worry about,
when you work with TCI Academy.
- Can
teachers earn continuing educational
credits?
Yes. You will be able to
earn academic credit for
TCI Academy trainings. We
are in the process of finalizing
our accreditation forms.
Soon the forms will be available
on our website for teachers
to download. Please check
back soon.
- Can
we have mixed grade level training?
Yes. You’ll notice that
our courses are divided into
elementary (K-5) and secondary
(6–12) offerings. Teachers
from within those groups
often derive great benefit
from attending a TCI Academy
course together because it
provides them with an opportunity
to share best practices.
Of course, single grade level
trainings work just fine,
too.

someone else’s training?

Once you have worked with
a Customer Support Representative
to plan your course schedule,
location, dates and times,
you can pay with a purchase
order, check, or credit card
either by phone, fax, or
U.S. mail. We must have a
form of payment before we
can process your order.

Available in spring 2008,
TCI Academy Onsite Consulting
will provide a powerful way
for schools and districts
to improve social studies
instruction. Over the span
of one to three years, a
TCI Academy Trainer will
work with teachers to provide
the tools, infrastructure,
and implementation methods
to build a rich learning
